To all faculty and staff of the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center,

It gives me great pleasure to announce that our graduate medical education training program, a formidable product of our 50-year affiliation with Jackson Memorial Hospital, has been reaccredited for another four years. A full four-year accreditation is proof of substantial trust and confidence in our training programs from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

This incredible achievement highlights the leadership and vision of many individuals. In particular, I want to recognize Drs. Richard Parrish, Jenny Mladenovic, Lanny Gardner and their teams, as well as the Jackson teams and leaders including Marvin O’Quinn, Nathan Anspach, Frank Barrett, Steve Klein and Dr. Gerard Kaiser. The superb work of these individuals and Miller School program directors and program coordinators served to ensure our success. 

As we strive to excel in our education mission, every one of us contributes to this mission; each day we roll up our sleeves to make our programs increasingly successful. We look forward to even greater heights as we build on this momentum in medical education.

Me complace grandemente anunciar que nuestro programa de capacitación de Educación Médica de Posgrado, formidable producto de nuestra afiliación durante medio siglo con Jackson Memorial Hospital, ha sido acreditado de nuevo por otros cuatro años. Esta acreditación demuestra la gran confianza que el Consejo de Acreditación para la Educación Médica de Posgrado  (ACGME, por sus siglas en inglés) ha depositado en nuestros programas de acreditación.

Este logro increíble pone de relieve el liderazgo y la visión de numerosas personas. En particular, deseo expresar mi reconocimiento a los doctores Richard Parrish, Jenny Mladenovic, Lanny Gardner y a sus respectivos equipos, así como a los líderes y equipos del Jackson, incluyendo a Marvin O’Quinn, Nathan Anspach, Frank Barrett, Steve Klein y el Dr. Gerard Kaiser. La excelente labor desarrollada por estas personas, y por los coordinadores y directores de programa de Miller School, contribuyó a garantizar nuestro éxito.  

Al tiempo que nos esforzamos por destacarnos en nuestra misión educativa, cada uno de nosotros hace su aporte a la misma, poniendo día a día manos a la obra para que nuestros programas sean cada vez más exitosos. Esperamos alcanzar cumbres aún más altas aprovechando este momento de ímpetu en el campo de la educación médica.
