To all faculty, staff and students of the Miller School of Medicine, UHealth and Jackson,

I am thrilled to congratulate Bascom Palmer Eye Institute for once again being named the top eye hospital in the country by U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Hospitals."  Our five straight years at No. 1 is an absolutely astonishing accomplishment.  We are all so proud to be colleagues of Bascom Palmer's unsurpassed faculty, nurses, medical staff and other team members.

Three other specialties at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center were also ranked as among the nation's best.   We extend congratulations to Ear, Nose, and Throat, which once again was ranked in the top 20 nationally.  Neurology and neurosurgery were ranked No. 39, and Geriatrics was No. 45.  Several other specialties, while not ranked yet, are improving their reputation scores and will surely make the ranked list within the next couple of years.  Congratulations to all!

The University of Miami and Jackson make up one of the nation's leading academic medical centers, and we are on our way up thanks to your hard work.

I truly appreciate your continued dedication to our important mission.
