To all faculty, staff and students,

The ad below, which ran in today’s Miami Herald, celebrates the strength of the University of Miami’s top-ranked relationship with Jackson Memorial Hospital.  We are thrilled that your work has been recognized once again by U.S. News & World Report as among the nation’s finest. 

Congratulations to Bascom Palmer, which has been the No. 1 eye hospital in the country for a remarkable five straight years, and to the other ranked specialties: Ear, Nose, and Throat; Neurology and Neurosurgery; and Geriatrics.  We are confident that several other areas will join them on the list in the next few years.

Our community is extraordinarily fortunate to be home to one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers.  Thanks to your hard work, the University of Miami and Jackson are moving up, and our campus with UM hospitals, Jackson and the Miami VA Medical Center is becoming a true “medical destination.”
