June 25, 2009 Dear UHealth/Miller Team, The University of Miami recently launched its new visual identity system. This is an exciting time for the University and I know I speak for all of us at UHealth/Miller when I say that we are happy to embrace the new brand, which incorporates the iconic University of Miami “U” in an attractive and unique way. Actually, branding with the “U” has been a part of our strategy for the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and UHealth for some time. I realize the launch of the new University branding may raise questions for some of you and I want to clarify a few basic points. Under the new visual identity system, the UHealth signature (logo) will remain the same. We will continue to operate with our two primary brands, UHealth and the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and we will continue to use our co-branded version – UHealth/Miller. Under the new system, the Miller School signature has a new look and you will be hearing more about how the brands will work together. The new signatures, and corresponding instructions for letterhead, email signatures, and more, will be available to you soon through an updated version of the UHealth/Miller Graphic and Editorial Style Guide.
