Videotape Library

Much of the process research conducted at CTRADA relies on archived videotapes of therapy sessions from previously conducted studies.  These videotapes enable faculty and students to examine therapist behaviors, adolescent and family responses to interventions, and sequences of interactions within the therapy sessions.  Codes have also been developed for mini-outcomes, or variables of interest at different points of therapy, such as alliance formation.  Our videotape library not only organizes therapy videotapes from past and present CTRADA studies, but also contains hundreds of videotaped family interactions which are coded for certain factors implicated in drug abuse, such as poor parenting practices, parent-adolescent distance, and coercive interactional styles.  Finally, training materials for clinical staff and research assistants are stored in the CTRADA videotape library.
