Welcome to the Developmental Center for AIDS Research (D-CFAR) at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. UM D-CFAR is the first NIH-funded AIDS research center in Florida, a state with the second highest number of HIV-infected individuals in the United States.

To engage in this important research, the Miller School was awarded a five-year, $3.6 million grant from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases of the National Institutes of Health. With this NIH support, UM D-CFAR will strive to benefit the community at large through development of successful intervention strategies that are geared toward prevention and treatment of HIV infection and its complications.
