  • Development of ongoing Community Needs Assessment
  • Develop and disseminate list of ongoing projects and clinical trials to be shared with the commmunity
  • Create up to date lists of CBOs, ASOs, and community based clinics serving persons at risk and infected with HIV.
  • Disseminate electronic and printed newsletter on a quarterly basis.
  • Host 3 Project SHARE seminars a year
  • Convene Community Advisory Board Meetings to Promote Community Involvement in D-CFAR on a quarterly basis
  • Provide assistance to individual UM HIV/AIDS researchers that want to develop project specific community advisory boards and conduct ad hoc meetings or employ other processes to gain information from the diverse communities in Miami by encourage the development of project-specific CABs, focus groups or project consultants and ongoing presentations before existing planning groups and community-based organizations. 
  • Assist individual investigators with setting up recruitment and retention plans by providing training and fostering community links
  • Conduct cross discipline targeted interactive meetings with interested investigators
  • Hold focused discussion groups on a quarterly basis among behavioral/social scientists, clinical scientists and laboratory scientists
