The Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery is celebrating its 50th year of excellence! Dr. Harvey Blank founded the Department in 1956 and the residency program in 1957. Over the past 50 years we have become one of the most respected and dynamic programs in the country and take great pride in filling our educational, research, clinical, and community service missions with excellence.

We invite you to celebrate our past and current accomplishments, as well as look into the future during four days of educational and social activities at our 50th Anniversary Celebration, March 22nd-25th, 2007. We are particularly excited about the William H. Eaglstein Wound Healing Festschrift that will be held on Saturday, March 24th. Twenty five years ago, the Department paid homage to Dr. Blank’s contributions to dermatology - and we are pleased to continue the tradition.

This will be a wonderful time to reconnect with old friends, celebrate Miami and our Department, and enjoy a terrific dermatology program, featuring many of our distinguished graduates, past and present faculty and fellows, and special friends.
