Defining Excellence in Medical Teaching

Upon completion of this activity, physicians should be able to:
1. Identify the wide range of competencies of a medical teacher.
2. Describe how medical teachers can better perform the competencies.
3. Define educational scholarship and describe how it differs from excellent teaching.
4. Describe available methods for medical teachers to achieve scholarly recognition and credit for their work
