Issues in Clinical Research Design
Upon completion of this activity, physicians should be able to: 1. Understand the various general categories of clinical research design and their application. 2. Understand the concept of multiple hypothesis testing. 3. Understand the importance of prospectively defining research objectives. 4. Understand the general principles of sample size calculation. 5. Upon reading an article in the medical literature, be able to identify which study design has been employed by the authors.
