The Environment as a Source of Contamination

Upon completion of this activity, physicians should be able to:
• Understand the degree of contamination of the patient room environment.
• Identify the environment as a source of contamination for our other non-colonized patients.
• Realize the relevance of hand hygiene before and after going into a patient’s room.
