Does the University of Miami have a process for patients to express concerns about their rights?
Yes. If you have any questions concerning your patient rights please contact the Office of HIPAA Privacy & Security.
If you feel that you patient rights have been violated, you may file a 
complaint with the Office of HIPAA Privacy and Security in writing. All complaints will be investigated, and the appropriate action taken. You may also file a complaint with the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). You will not be penalized for filing a complaint.
