Psychiatry
The University of Miami Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences offers evaluation and treatment of depression, bipolar and anxiety disorders, PTSD, schizophrenia, alcohol and substance abuse, and all psychotic disorders, including specialized psychiatric services for children and adolescents, women, geriatric and HIV/AIDS patients. Treatment available in state-of-the-art facilities with over 100 private rooms at the University of Miami Hospital and more than 160 beds at Jackson Memorial Hospital (adult and pediatric care) and in a private setting at the Boca Raton and Coconut Grove office suites.
Other specialty areas include: psychopharmacology, cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, biofeedback and stress management.
The Memory Disorders Clinic provides evaluation and treatment of cognitive disorders, with a special emphasis on the elderly and the early detection and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.
We can provide consultations with faculty who are native speakers of multiple languages, including: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic, Italian and German.
Remote and continuing care for international patients via Telemedicine.
