Welcome to the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Miami, School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Medical Center. General Internal Medicine, the core of Internal Medicine and all of its subspecialties, is at the focal point of clinical and educational activities in Internal Medicine in the medical center. We are recognized world for worldwide for world-class clinical care and education.

The faculty's leadership role in providing world class personalized medical care to patients from South Miami, Coral Gables, the medical school, Palm Beach, the Caribbean basin and south and central America and beyond is world renowned. Our practice continues to grow, recently opening a practice in Palm Beach Gardens.

The private practice of The Division of General Internal Medicine focuses on three broad areas of care. First, and most importantly for the future of our patients, is accessing all necessary resources to promote their long-term health. Working together with our patients we concentrate on health maintenance and prevention to avoid long-term complications by preventing and delaying the onset of serious illnesses.

Second, the clinical expertise in the multiple facets of Internal Medicine, diagnoses and treats current medical illness including, cardiovascular disease, chronic diseases (hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, lung diseases, liver diseases, and many others), general medicine care, geriatrics, HIV-related medicine, preventive medicine, primary care medicine, venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, and women's health. The immediate availability of world experts in specific diseases, surgical procedures and radiological techniques as well as world class diagnostics provides patients with premiere medical care for the entire spectrum of diseases.
