After graduating form Yale University, Dr. Hurley attended medical school at SUNY-Syracuse. She completed her Hematology fellowship at NYU and her Oncology fellowship at University of Miami. She has been an attending in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Miami since 1991. She is the Medical Director of the Hematology/Oncology Clinics at Jackson Memorial Hospital and the Medical Oncology Consultant for the Taylor Breast Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital. She specializes in breast cancer. She has received support from pharmaceutical companies for her clinical research. She received a $500,000 grant from the Avon Foundation to use for the care of indigent women with breast cancer and a grant from the Braman Breast Cancer initiative to study the genetic of Bahamian women with breast cancer.
