Research in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension

Research in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension includes basic laboratory, translational and clinical research.

The basic and translational research activities are organized in the Miami Institute of Renal Medicine (MIRM).

The clinical research activities, which include epidemiology and patient-oriented human physiological investigation are organized in the Clinical Research Program in Nephrology and Hypertension under the directorship of Dr. Myles Wolf.

The overall mission of our research is the development of novel therapeutic strategies for the treatment of patients across the spectrum of kidney disease and following kidney transplantation through advances in the fundamental understanding of human health and disease processes.
