Course: "Communication Skills"
The Professional Development and Training Office will offer a course titled “Communication Skills” on Wednesday, February 22, from 9 a.m. to noon in Dominion Tower, third-floor training room.
How well you communicate can influence how others view your work, your performance and your prospects for career mobility. Although all of us talk and listen to one another, we may not be communicating. In a dynamic work environment, it is not surprising that misunderstandings occur. The seminar, offered in partnership with the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program, will help participants learn to actively listen in a variety of situations, respond appropriately, and identify pertinent information.
