The Office of Research Information Management (ORIM) supports the University of Miami community by providing systems to facilitate research administration. These systems are intended to minimize the amount of time end-users require to complete processes associated with research-related activities. ORIM deploys, manages, and trains users on applications such as InfoEd (Proposal Tracking/Development& Animal Protocol Management), Topaz GRANITE (Web Animal Orders and Animal Facility Management), Velos (Clinical Trials Management), and the Research Reporting System (Sponsored Programs Financial Information).

Submit your ARRA/Challenge Grant Proposals 5 days Early or Risk Major Headaches!
March 31st, 2009– TO ALL PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT USERS: We have been strongly advised by InfoEd Customer Support to get our ARRA-related proposals submitted early. Institutions across the country are preparing to submit Challenge Grants and other ARRA-related applications electronically. We are expecting over 150 proposals during this period, which means there is very little bandwidth for error. Please do not wait until deadline day to submit your application via InfoEd or directly via Grants.gov or you will be frustrated with system problems that will not be resolved in time for the deadline. InfoEd Customer Support will do its best to provide assistance to us, but with the volume anticipated it may not be possible to provide last minute problem resolution for the Challenge Grants if a technical problem should occur on deadline day. For the best chance of success, submit at least 5 days early!
