Educational Materials
We are pleased to provide educational materials about poison prevention and our services to the public. The following pdf files are available for free download to aid in injury prevention efforts at health fairs, class presentations or other outreach events. These materials are also available in printed form (in limited quantities) by contacting 1-800-222-1222 and placing your order. We also supply refrigerator magnets and phone stickers. Please allow 14 days for shipping. Trainings are also available for individuals who do this work in the community or in the workplace by contacting our Health Educator, Wendy Stephan at 305-355-4995 or poison@med.miami.edu. Trainings can be held at your facility or at the Poison Center. There may be a minimum number of participants required. We also provide presentations to the public or medical professional groups. Please schedule approximately one month in advance so we can be sure the appropriate speaker is available. Again, we do require a minimum number of participants based on the type of event.
