Grand Rounds to Boca Raton Community Hospital
The educational partnership between the University of Miami School of Medicine, and Boca Raton Community Hospital offers a valuable opportunity to expand medical education in south Florida. Grand Rounds conferences in Plastic Surgery use interactive technology for real time, two-way discussions.  The new UM teaching facility at Florida Atlantic University will enhance the  quality of medical care and continuing education opportunities for community physicians in a comprehensive array of medical fields including Internal Medicine and Psychiatry. 

 
Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center - Universidad de São Paulo Tumor Board
Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center (SCCC) is a leading center in the care of cancer patients, research of innovative cancer treatments and discoveries, and education to the medical community. In combined efforts with the Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil, University of Miami Telemedine brings the knowledge and experience of the multidisciplinary UM SCCC faculty to multiple cancer centers in Brazil by broadcasting monthly live-interactive lectures on organ specific cancers with interaction with oncology specialists at each participating medical institutions.
Interactive lectures to Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, Mexico The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, combined with the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Monterrey, Mexico, developed a series of academic videoconferences for interactive health care lectures and grand rounds in the specialties of dermatology and plastic surgery; and soon will be expanding to the fields of genetics, urology, critical care and burn care.  The videoconferences facilitate the interaction of medical experts in different medical fields to present current topics of importance in patient care, and discuss interesting and challenging clinical cases with colleagues from a different institution.  
Focused Advanced Sonography in Trauma to Brazil
During September 2005, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Faculty traveled to ABC Foundation Medical School to teach a short course titled the Focused Advanced Sonography in Trauma course.  During this time lectures were delivered at FMABC, the central location, that then broadcasted via satellite to students at six different institutions across the state of Sao Paulo.  Over 260 participants received educational training on this topic.  An additional FAST course was taught at the Gastroclinica, a Hospital located 100 Km from Sao Paulo, the lectures were transmitted live via cable TV to over 3000 receptors viewing a health channel. 
  University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital Ryder Trauma Center - Continuing Medical Education through Telemedicine
Continuing trauma education is provided through interactive educational lectures in pertinent trauma and critical care topics to deployed military health care personnel.
